Fortunately, we came across Reg Archer's biker-welcoming friary. Great news for my doctor...and my waistline...they serve small potions as well as standard ones!Woodhall Spa is an interesting place and well worth a ride out for those of you outside of Lincolnshire. The Petwood Hotel became the wartime Officers Mess for 617 ‘Dambusters' Squadron and the Squadron Bar hosts a range of memorabilia and tributes to Guy Gibson VC, Leonard Cheshire VC and their Officers. There is a Dambusters Memorial near the town centre, too, and for bikers carrying golf clubs (!!!), there is the National Golf Centre, HQ of EnglandGolf.
The Poachers classic motorcycle club from nearby Spilsby hold a fish and chip run to Reg Archers on the first Friday in August each year, too. You'll find the chippie at 29 Witham Road, Woodhall Spa, Lincs, LN10 6RW, right next door to The Trading Post which sells classic bikes and other motorcycling and motoring memorabilia.
